Experience the hidden spot in Panay " Wenys Garden"
Weny’s Gaden is one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Capiz. It is located at Brgy. Bonga, Panay which is 20 minutes away from the city.
Weny’s Garden started on January 2005 and was renovated on 2007. It was constructed and developed for 2 years and now it operates for 3 years. It took a long time to name it Weny’s Garden because the land area was like a forest and rice field.
The land area is half hectare which is cultivated and devided into four major divisions:
* fish pond area
* Vegetable area
* Ornamental
* Animal area
In the fish pond area, there are native fishes like catfish and the like. You may also find in Weny’s Garden some animals in pet zone like rabbits, wild cats, white mice, hamsters, ducks, different sizes of tortoise and communal cage or houses for variety of multicolored lovebirds. Vegetable area is still under renovation. And the most attractive area of the Weny’s Garden is their ornamental area which can you see colorful butterflies which give more color to the garden everytime they fly in the different beautiful flowers like gumamela, rose, sampaguita, dahlia, African daisy and orchids. In the butterfly house, different species of locally captured butterflies are cultured, observed and studied.
Wenys Graden show how to create project and preserve a habitual for these beautiful and colorful flying creatures. The 40 meter-shaped alley is shaded by a creepind- millioners vine. Others called it Emperadors vine which contains like roots that are arranged both sides of the way which amuses visitors. They have also trees like narra,coconut tree and Mc arthur palm tree. The whole area is 5,000 square meter garden that allows strictly to an organic system of farming. fdlowers vegetables and fruit tress are grown using an organic fertilizer. No chemicals in whatever form are used to control pests and disease. It is thier way to expressing love and concern to our environment...
